Fleeing for their lives

Noora and her family fled from their home during the Islamic State invasion of Iraq in the summer of 2014. They’ve built a cinderblock home in their new location, but the walls are still unfinished and they are sleeping on thin mattreses on the cement floors. On their own they do not have any hope of getting Noora open-heart surgery, which will allow her to grow up and have a normal life. Noora’s visa to Israel has just been approved, and we hope she will travel by the first week of December.
