Wesam and His Patient Father Leave the Hospital

After his final echocardiogram last Sunday, Wesam
was released from the hospital the following day. He will return to Wolfson
Medical Center in May for further evaluation of the medication he is
taking for his heart.
Last
month the doctors prescribed a specific medication for Wesam's heart
and, because it was expensive, the father suggested that he stay in the
hospital. They wanted to check this medication out for a month to see
if it helped pump the blood more quickly in and out of his heart. Wesam
will need to continue taking this medication for the next several years.
Wesam's father has been so patient waiting to see how his son will heal and recover.

Not Doing Well Yet

Wesam
is not doing well. His father is always hopeful that the next time
I return to Gaza, he and Wesam will go with me. Wesam's father is very
thankful for all of the help his son has received, but he is beginning
to grow weary.
Wesam has been in the hospital for almost a month
and he is still not where the doctors would like for him to
be. There is a chance that he might have another
surgery. They have him on several types of medication but his body
is just not really responding to any of it.

A New Life, A Thankful Dad

Wesam from Rafah in the Gaza Strip came through his surgery and is doing well. He has been in
the ICU for a week and his recovery is slow but normal. He was
evaluated in January and they wanted to operate right away but
the surgeon was abroad so they had to reschedule.
Wesam's father is so appreciative to the staff and
Wolfson for helping his son. He told me that it
doesn't matter how long he has to stay just as long
as his son gets the help he needs and will be healthy for the
future.
As Wesam recovers keep his father and family
in your prayers. His mother is having a hard time
not being there with him so let's pray for her as well.
