| Dear friends,
Dr. Sion Houri, head of the ICU in Israel which is giving
round-the-clock care to the Iraqi baby Bayan after her heart surgery,
reports that over the last 24 hours she is "a touch more stable,
but still very fragile." They've been able to reduce the heavy medication
Bayan was receiving, and "hopefully she is taking a turn in the right
direction, though it is too early to say."
I am strongly impressed that we must remain vigilant in prayer for
Bayan, and not allow our adversary to draw our attention away
elsewhere. Some who've written have helped me see more clearly the significance
of this struggle.
A sister from Germany wrote, "I believe this is not only a small
battle. Since the whole story is a very meaningful prophetic story, a
pioneer breakthrough between Israel and Iraq..."
A brother in Jerusalem added, "it's something about her name [which
means "dawn"] that, I believe, brings her to mind. God just
puts her name in my thoughts, and I remember to stand in the gap for her
and her family."
Please continue to share your prayers and insights, so that we can
agree together in Jesus' name.
Jonathan
